The Founder of MMAWT legacy initiative and wife of the Sokoto State Governor, Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has been awarded as the “Best Performing Northern Governor’s Wife Of The Year 2019” by the Achievers and Good Governance Awards, Northern Nigerian Season.
The Wife of the Governor was represented at the award presentation ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, by Hajiya Hadiza Kubra Mahmoud alongside other associates. The award was presented to the wife of the governor, by Hajiya Rabi Saulawa of Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa, who was also a recipient.
In her acceptance speech, Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri thanked the organizers for recognizing her modest contributions and promised to continue to do more.
While responding to questions from Journalists on the effect of border closure to entrepreneurs, Hajiya Kubra Mahmoud responded accordingly being an established business woman herself and gave an insight into her views.
