The 3rd Annual Commemoration of the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit, which has been holding in the the Republic of South Korea has come to an end on a positive note, with leaders and Ambassadors of peace further committing to the attainment of world peace and designed to suit country specifics and nation states models!
The highlight of the event was the discussion panel at the forum, where women leaders who play and intend to play very important roles in their nations shared knowledge and case studies. Top on the agenda were high level discussions with highlights:

– To consider and reaffirm what women can do and must do for the implementation of the declaration of peace and cessation of war (DPWC) by advocating, garnering support for it and its continued development and implementation.
– Building a stronger Network of women Leaders and applying it for the implementation of the declaration of peace and cessation of war
– The role of Women for peace together with the IWPG on genocide, ethnic cleansing, Myanmar and conflicts alike globally and a paper presentation was made by Dr.Mervat Tellawaz (President Arab women organization)
– The role and responsibility of women in realizing the goal
– Advocating for the realization of the DPCW and real life examples in establishing collaborative governance.

It was also a great opportunity to share results of collaborations from many women leaders in their regions. Emphasis on the significance of the organization In the forum, was how women become key players and can become in the IWPG and how it will be strengthened further.

The event has also provided further directions for nation building and has achieved the historic goal of making a move to make 3.6 Billion women in the world, collaborate as one entity. The wife of the President’s Remarks was duly presented for the purpose of harnessing the existing relationship and broaden the scope to fit our national Considerations.

The key speeches at the event were: The role of the 3.6 Billion women in the realization of peace delivered by the Chairwoman IWPG NAM HEEM KIM. It was then followed by a brief interaction session with the IYPG – international Youth Peace Group in a town hall setting. The annual event was concluded by a special dinner with very colorful display of the peace Mantra in arts.

All of us at MMAWT are enjoining others to join the clarion call in our respective capacities and spaces to actualize the peace missions!
